Interview with Jesus – Part 1

Hello, Jesus Now, when I thought about doing this interview, my first concern was where on earth would I find you and turns out you found me. I mean, it seems that you are all over the place.

Well, James, I am happy that you sought me out. I tend to be very busy, especially around your Christian Holidays. You have so many of them.

You mean they’re not yours? Christ – Christian. They were respectfully named for you.

James, while I appreciate the sentiment behind the name, I would never have wanted these holidays celebrated in my name. Especially that one you all call Easter. I mean for God’s sake! It’s okay if I say that, right?

Jesus laughs.
Of course, he is your Father, right! If anyone has the right to say it, it should be you. Please go on.

“Well, the Easter holiday you “Christians” celebrate was no celebration for me. I was hung on a cross butchered as it were, and I tell you it is no pleasure having that thrown up in my face all the time. That killed me. Of course, I came back but still that hurt like hell. Something I do not like reliving. So for those of you out there listening, the crosses I see all over the world not fun to see. Reminders of the horrible pain and suffering I had to go through.”

So this displeases you?

Yes, Let’s say that I’ve moved on from that, closure is what you all call it.

Well, Jesus, can you tell me and our listening audience what you have been up to since, well since you departed the earth. I mean, you haven’t been physically seen since well in hundreds of thousands of years.

OMG – Jesus smiles – “didn’t know that I was familiar with your – Net-centric abbreviation for the popular exclamation “Oh my God!” I think it’s essential to keep up. So you might say that’s what I have been doing all this time. Keeping up with the world just fighting the good fight as it were.

Jesus, that’s a bit vague; can you be a little more forthcoming, please?

James, I feel like if I say too much, I will have all these expectations put on me, and while I do have power over the earth land and sea as it were by telling you I kind of show my hand and I like to surprise.

(Jesus laughs)

Why are you laughing?

Well, I find it funny that you humans enjoy a pleasant surprise at least that’s what I hear and see, of course, but you can’t seem to wait for things when you pray. You have no idea how many requests I get in a second, and it’s usually the same people asking for the same things over and over again. It’s a wonder I’m not schizophrenic.

Okay, then moving on, I am going to ask you a series of questions about what’s going on, and I expect you to be brutally honest as possible.

Of course, I only know how to speak the truth; after all, I am the arbiter of truth, love, and honesty, so please go right ahead.

What do you have to say about the current White House situation?

That has nothing to do with me. My Father and I tend to stay out of your politics. Let me say this though in all your Presidential elections since 1778, have there been so many prayer requests.

Were they for or against him?

Him?

Well, you know Trump.

I don’t wish to choose sides, but just let me say that you all should have known better.

Jesus, what do you mean?

James comes on the man tweets for goodness sake; he’s a well-known megalomaniac.

So you don’t care for him either?

Well, I am Jesus, so I forgive and am understanding, but I have to take one of your human adages: If you don’t have anything good to say about someone, don’t say anything at all!

Well, Jesus, what can we do to make things better in the White House under this current regime? I mean, can you at least tell us what direction we need to go into does praying help?

Prayer is always good. We are still listening, but it’s you who must do. You have stopped Doing. You have become a nation of talkers, pundits, influencers, and such. Take a page from your 1960’s history. That was a good time for you, humans. You had sit-ins, revolts, You not only talked but you acted and changed happened. I enjoyed watching human growth during that period.

You liked that, did you?

Absolutely you broke down barriers; you used the strength that Father gave you to move mountains. You like that. Thought that I would take you back to the days of old. Those were some excellent times in human history too. You have come along way, but in this century, you remain to stagnate STOP talking and DO people.

Wow, advise from Jesus.

“Jesus nods, and smile’s almost chuckling.”

Ask me anything I’m pretty much an open book.
Speaking of books. Let’s talk about the Bible.

“Jesus stood up!”

Dear God! I’m going to need a short break before we get into that.

Okay – whatever you say!

The Perfect Imperfection of God

The longer I live on planet earth I wonder why we as a human race continue to exist? Life being so precious as we like to say, and yet we as humans take a life every second every minute of every day. Why the creator has not completely wiped us off the face of the earth, I’ll never know.

According to the Bible, God has tried it a few times but not completely and maybe that’s the problem. God even in his infinite wisdom by saving a few humans who appeared or who God considered upright and just, still gave birth to humans who still came out able to hurt and kill without even a thought of how killing another human is vile, repulsive, inconceivable, unconscionable and just wrong. Why would a human kill another human? How does the idea enter into the brain just as easy as it is to breathe?

Has God has left us? I ask this because I ask it. How else can we explain our existence other than to say that maybe God has left us to exist on our own? It’s not a question of God caring. I wonder God just decided “my mistake, I’ll let it be.” Has God moved forward, beyond what we can know or imagine, to create again?

The Creator moved on to improve on his creation, to make another image? It’s worth the ponderance. I do know this; we are a sad race of humans. Always afraid, fearful, not accepting, suspicious, judgemental, at first before we let our guard down. It takes centuries before we can look at another human and speak simple fundamental truths; two legs, two arms, two eyes, a nose, mouth, fingers, toes say you are a human just like me. The color of skin and hair may be different, the sexual organs may be different, but all these make us all basic human. The only thing that makes us different is our individual thought, to think, to reason but in that thought there must be basic and simple reasoning understanding. The understanding that no matter the thought, this is another human, notice I didn’t use the word the same.

We are not the same because if we were the same, oh my what a boring world it would be. My wish is that humans would stop being afraid all the time. We are not born afraid we are taught to be scared. Animals are born with instinctual qualities one might say abilities. They have these abilities because they are born in the wild, they need them to survive. We humans are not born in the wild nor are we raised in the wild. How very sad for us to continue to live this way since breath was given to us.
I’m not saying we are to be perfect, far from it but if we could just see another human as just that. Maybe a view of perfection would create a new and better world to live in and oh what a day, what a world that would be. Hello human, Hi human, welcome human, just human.

Inside the mind of God

Inside the mind of God. Oh God, where do I start? I am thinking that over time to try and see through the mind of God and God’s plan would be like fitting a camel through the eye of a needle. It’s pretty close to impossible. No, it’s damn impossible. We as humans can try to extrapolate thought and ideas, but can we truly know Gods mind. I find it interesting. First that I am writing about this because to be honest it scares and concerns me being raised religious. I am no longer religious (spiritual) which I feel gives me a deeper, more understanding relationship with God. It concerns me that maybe I am overstepping my bounds here with my higher power but I feel like I have been led by my higher power to write this. Given the green light so to speak, my first thoughts inside the mind of God is the creation and then devastation and then the creation and then devastation again. It begs the question that we all seem to have an answer for – “God does not make mistakes!” These clearly sound like mistakes to me of course I am human, and I am not inside the mind of God Perhaps we put too much perfection on God. It’s has been repeated. Only God is perfect, and maybe he is, but maybe the definition is wrong with us and right with God. What if it’s okay that God is not PERFECT I mean after all aren’t we created in his image.

Also, this thing with God creating the world in six days and resting on the 7th! Why does a God need to rest? I have to tell you that I laughed as I wrote that. A God needing to rest just how stupid is that. A God is all-powerful, omnipotent, the idea of God resting sounds like a fantasy to me, a fairy tale. Now those religions who worship the Sabbath day to keep it Holy for some religions that day is Sunday and for others it’s a Saturday. Did anyone ever stop to think that God had other things to do and since we mortals cannot interpret Gods time how do we know? Perhaps God was and still is creating the earth.

The idea that God destroys makes God sound like a killer a murderer. Let’s exam this according to legend – I mean the bible. God has destroyed the earth with a flood, has sent out famine, plagues, let’s not forget Sodom and Gomorrah. All these times told of devastation and death had God made a mistake in his creation. Again the question is how is that possible since God is all-powerful, all-knowing, The Creator, perfect. Maybe it begs the question that God is not our vision of who humans think or say God is. I refer to the idea that we are made in God’s image, we are not perfect and not meant to be because he is not. It is more than likely why we exist and continue to exist. Well, I’ll get into that later.

Now I’m about to throw a little twist into this. So God makes mistakes. First of all let me say that he is allowed to do so after all he created the earth and all there is, that’s got to be a lot of work. Take a look around sometime and breathe it all in. We think that because we build buildings, cars, trains, ships, and send people to the moon that these are huge task. And while they are, they are no comparison to this world, universe that we live in that God created.

What is a God? God is by our definition simply – A God but we have made God so much more and in some ways so little less that God is.

Here’s a question? Where is God now? Now I know that depending on one’s faith, the quick response is he’s “here” “all around us” living in you and me! Okay, those are all good but God presented himself a lot during biblical times. Speaking to Moses, Abraham, Issac, and David just to name a few. Now according to the Bible these were definite conversations as it were because things were being told to these men and as predicted by God occurred and happened just as God said they would. I wonder why God doesn’t do this today? There are ministers and such who claim that in the name of God things happening is God punishing certain people or a specific group of people. Others predicting things such as the world ending on a certain day, or time a lot of them being specific, and nothing happens. Others are claiming that the reason there are devastation, disasters and disease in the world is because God sent it. None of these statements or comments being facts more like ways to exert fear upon the world. Why hasn’t God sent word to us about destroying the earth – i.e. a person?

Okay, ponder these things for a moment. Please feel free to leave comments and thoughts. This topic is going to be an ongoing subject on my blog, so please stay tuned for more.
